“I love you, Dad!”

Alice’s dad always went out to work, he always said “I’ll come back.” She always trusted him, but today he broke his promise. She could feel her stomach churning at the thought of her dad leaving Alice and her mother at home all alone. Suddenly she heard pebbles being stepped on, she ran to the bedroom window in hopes to find her dad waiting at the door. But her heart was soon crushed as it was just a Rabbit “Argh, stupid bunny!” She tried to hold back her tears as they were about to fall down like waterfalls but she couldn’t stop them they came down like flowing rivers of sadness. Her mother heard the cries coming from Alice’s bedroom she couldn’t bear the fact that her daughter was like this, she slowly opened the door it groaned like it was in pain. “When will he come back?” Alice said. You could tell by the sparkle in her eyes and how her voice was shaky that she had missed him. “Get ready.” Her mother spoke in a small croaky voice, Alice looked at her mother in confusion. “What’s happening?” Her mother took out her car keys from behind her back and Alice instantly knew what she meant and just nodded her smiling. The car roared with frustration like an old man being woken up from their deep sleep. The sand was flowing in the wind, Alice got bored so she decided to message her dad from her Ba-Xi, as soon as she turned on her Ba-Xi, It’s glow was like she was staring at the sun. Her eyes squinted at the light coming from it. “Sweetie, can you turn that off?” Alice opened an editing app and looked at Brad before turning her phone off. She closed her eyes slowly and then saw Brad waving in the distance she ran towards him and gave him a hug instead he just said “Turn.” What he said sent shivers down her spine she woke up and there was a sign indicating that there was a turn coming up. Her guts were confident and told her mother to turn left, her mother was confused but did so. Suddenly they saw a small light waving around they thought it was someone who was left stranded so they decided to stop for him, as they drove closer they could make out the outline of the body “Dad!” Alice shouted. Her mother looked closer and saw him, the one she fell in love with waving a torch around. She pushed her foot on the accelerator and started tearing up they came to a stop and opened their doors with tears in their eye’s “Dad! You're here! I missed you so much!” They were all so happy smiling with tears of joy falling down their cheeks. “I love you, Dad!”.
